Edamame was a chanced discovery and we just have gotten hooked on to it. It reminds us of our childhood days when we used to eat boiled and salted peanuts fresh from the fields!! Kids sure will love it. They can be found in the grocer's freezer section. Edamame are green soybeans which are rich in proteins and vitamins A, B, and C. It sure makes for a good and nutritious appetizer/snack.

Ingredients -

Edamame 14oz
Salt 3 tsp
Water for boiling

Method of preparation -

In a vessel, add about 3 cups of water and add salt to it. Add frozen edamame into the water and boil for 10 min . Drain and cool and they can be eaten by squeezing beans out of pods with fingers. I like them in sambar too!!

Serves 3 Adults

Preparation Time 10 min
