When my daughter comes home from school, she expects some variety snack and I am pushed to invent new varieties which are both tasty and nutritious. The mixed legume chaat is one such snack that is loaded with protein and one my daughter enjoys eating!

Ingredients -

Chole chana - 1 cup
Rajma - 1/2 cup (red kidney beans)
Black eyed beans - 1/2 cup
Whole green gram - 1/4 cup (whole moong dal)
chaat masala - 1 tsp
onion - 1 medium chopped
tomato - 1 medium chopped
salt
coriander sprigs for garnish

Method Of Preparation -

Soak all the legumes over night and pressure cook them with salt.

Drain the boiled legumes into a vessel so the stock can be used in soups or sambar or gravies.

In a mixing bowl, add the legumes, chopped onion and tomato , chaat masala and garnish with coriander leaves.

Enjoy this nutritious and tasty snack loaded with protein!!

Another healthy dish great for a snack. Yet another entry to the Sunday Snacks -Healthy snacks event hosted by Divya of DilSe.
