Pinwheel Pizza

We start yet another edition of Blogging Marathon today. For this 43rd edition, week 1, I have chosen to post some interesting and unconventional pizza varieties.

To begin with here is an interesting pinwheel pizza.

Recipe Source here
Ingredients -

Pizza Dough (ready made or home made) I used dough made with 1 1/2 cups of flour
For the filling
Pizza Sauce 3/4 cup
Cheese, shredded 1/2 cup + more
Vegetables of your choice - I used onions and olives handful each
Pepper flakes or pepper if using

Method Of Preparation -

Preheat the oven to 425 °F.

On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle.

Apply the pizza sauce generously. Arrange all the vegetables as per preference.

Sprinkle shredded cheese as needed.

From the short end of the rolled dough, tightly roll like a carpet and pinch the seams.

Slice them about 1 1/2 inches wide (I got about 9 slices.), place them cut side down on a greased baking pan.

[Optionally cling wrap the slices and let it rise for another 45 min or so and then proceed.]

Sprinkle some extra cheese on top and bake for about 15-17 min or until the cheese on top browns a little and firms up.

Serve them warm with sprinkled crushed pepper for an added jazz.

Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM# 43.

Passing them along to Srivalli's 'Kid's Delight - Healthy Snacks' event happening here at Tamalapaku.

Preparation Time 10 min + Baking time 17 min
Makes 9 slices
