Put them in a microwave safe dish with lukewarm water to almost cover. Put a lid on, and microwave on full power for 1.5 minutes. When you get them out, they will be hot. Drain the water and when they are a bit cooler, peel the nuts. The peel should come off easily. If the inner hairy covering doesn't come off as well (and it seem totally random), put the nuts in lukewarm water and soak for 10 muntes or so. Then you can scrape most of the inner covering off. I don't worry too much about getting it all off. Then cook the nuts in the microwave for 4 minutes. gillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11063936531269097464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5165396503068363740.post-22643755072257093632017-11-16T23:40:52.758-05:002017-11-16T23:40:52.758-05:00@Susan Gregory - The chestnuts need to be done in ...@Susan Gregory - The chestnuts need to be done in batches; so 8-10 in each batchHarini Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17614180790402465232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5165396503068363740.post-13162148379619878742017-11-16T17:37:55.305-05:002017-11-16T17:37:55.305-05:00The instructions say 8-10 chestnutsThe instructions say 8-10 chestnutsAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12025703349527383865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5165396503068363740.post-61991315405997738922015-11-18T16:28:23.884-05:002015-11-18T16:28:23.884-05:00There is a problem in your directions.
